  • When It Is Hardest to Pray

When It Is Hardest to Pray

Sometimes the moments when we have the fewest words are the moments when we need prayer the most.

“Whenever it is hardest to pray, it is most necessary to pray.”

I came across this thought today, and I could not agree more.

When your heart feels heavy, your breathing feels shallow, and even speaking seems impossible, remember that the Almighty is quietly at work. Just as our body is constantly renewing itself, creating new cells and letting go of the old, perhaps He too is gently renewing us from within, slowly replacing pain with strength and hope.

The process may feel slow, and we may not notice anything changing at first. But that does not mean nothing is happening. Sometimes healing begins long before we are able to feel it.

Hold On to the Smallest Spark

Keep faith. Even if you cannot see the light, try to find the smallest spark and hold on to it. Stay connected to the Almighty.

There may be times when life feels like a collection of loose threads. Things may not make sense, plans may fall apart, and we may wonder how any of it will ever come together.

In those moments, let Him take the loose threads of your life, place them on His knitting needles, and patiently weave something beautiful. Trust that the sweater He is knitting for you will fit you better than anything you could have imagined.

We may only be able to see the loose threads in front of us, but He can see what they are becoming.

    Never Let His Light Fade

Every other light in life may go out, but never let His light fade. Keep it alive through prayer.

Even when you do not have the energy to pray consciously, let that connection remain alive somewhere deep within you. Let your soul keep praying, even when your lips cannot find the words.

Prayer does not always have to be spoken. Sometimes prayer is simply knowing that He is there.

Your Prayer Does Not Have to Be Perfect

Your words do not have to be perfect, and your prayers do not have to be eloquent. Come to Him with silence, with tears, with gratitude, with confusion, or simply with your breath.

There is no need to wait until you feel stronger or until you know exactly what to say. Just come as you are and keep the connection alive.

He will take it from there.

He Knows How to Restore You

So breathe, have faith, and keep praying, especially on the days when praying feels difficult. Perhaps those are the days when we need that connection the most.

    And remember:

The One who created you knows exactly how to restore you.

  • Are We Attending Satsang, or Are We Transforming?

Are We Attending Satsang, or Are We Transforming?

The real purpose is not simply to attend, but to allow what we receive to change the way we live.

The word Satsang comes from Sanskrit. Sat means truth and sanga means company or association.

Sometimes we find ourselves wondering whether we are doing enough to maintain a balance between spirituality and our everyday responsibilities.

In simple words, what I understand is that Satsang is spending time in the company of those who seek spiritual understanding, self discipline, and a more meaningful way of living.

For many people, regularly attending Satsang becomes much more than a religious activity. It gives us time to reflect, provides emotional strength and guidance, and gives us a sense of community.

But I feel the true value of Satsang cannot be measured only by how often we attend.

Its real impact should be visible in the way we behave, fulfill our responsibilities, maintain our relationships, and try to live our lives according to the direction of the Supreme Power.

What Does Spirituality Look Like in Our Everyday Life?

Spirituality should not be judged by the number of gatherings we attend, the prayers we recite, or the religious knowledge we have.

Its real strength is reflected quietly in our everyday actions.

How do we speak when we are angry?

How do we behave when no one is watching?

How do we treat people who cannot offer us anything in return?

How do we support our family?

How do we accept criticism and face difficult situations?

Can we continue to act with kindness, empathy, patience, and humanity when things do not go our way?

I feel these everyday moments tell us much more about our spiritual growth than simply how often we attend Satsang.

    The Real Purpose Is Transformation

Satsang can be a powerful source of guidance and inner growth, but attending Satsang itself is not the final achievement.

    The real purpose is transformation.

A truly spiritual life should help us become not only more devoted, but also more humane, balanced, responsible, compassionate, and peaceful.

So perhaps the real question we need to ask ourselves is:

Are we actually transforming, or are we simply fulfilling a religious activity?

What are we truly seeking from Satsang?

These are questions that perhaps each of us needs to answer for ourselves.

Giving Our Inner Light the Right Fuel

Maybe the answer lies within us, in the inner light of the Divine that we all carry.

We need to ask ourselves whether we are giving that inner light the right fuel to grow and transform us, or whether we are only satisfying the outward expectations of spirituality.

Listening in Satsang is important, but what we do with what we hear is even more important.

Real transformation happens when what we listen to in Satsang begins to appear in our thoughts, our behavior, our relationships, and the way we live every day.

It happens when we become a little more patient.

    A little more understanding.

    A little less judgmental.

    A little more compassionate.

And perhaps a little more peaceful within ourselves.

For me, that is the real purpose of Satsang.

The true measure is not simply how often we attend.

It is who we are becoming because of it. 🙏🏻

  • Hold On to the Thread Between You and God

Hold On to the Thread Between You and God

He already knows — but keep talking to Him.

The Creator, the Supreme Power, knows everything about us.

He knows every cell in our body, every thought, every feeling, every situation, and every hidden struggle. He knows the personal and the impersonal, the seen and the unseen. He knows the whole universe and beyond.

So there should be no fear, stress, or confusion in how we live, pray, perform, and lead our lives under His supervision. Everything happens under His order, so our relationship with Him should be pure, honest, and simple.

There should be no politics in that relationship, no pressure, no overthinking, and no fear. We simply need to pray purely and honestly and communicate with the Supreme Power.

Spirituality Does Not Need to Be Complicated

The world often makes spirituality complicated through superstitions, rules, and fear. But to me, the real path is simple.

Do the purpose for which God has sent us into this world. Live honestly. Pray purely. And try to be a good human being.

Prayer does not need to be complicated either.

We can speak to God about every small detail of our lives. We can talk endlessly, share our worries, explain our situation, and express our thoughts.

Just as a child tells everything to their parents, we should keep that same open communication with God.

    Keep the Connection Alive

As children grow older, an invisible distance can sometimes develop between them and their parents because of a lack of communication.

They may no longer communicate and share the way they once did. Then, when they really need their parents, they may find it difficult to approach them.

This can happen in any relationship.

In the same way, if we stop communicating with God, the distance is created from our side.

God is always watching us and caring for us, but we may begin to feel confused about how to approach Him.

So keep communicating with God in whatever way feels natural to you.

Do not leave that thread from your hand.

He is your carer. He will not leave His connection with you, so keep holding your side of the connection.

Do not let it become loose.

If God Already Knows, Why Do We Need to Speak?

Sometimes we become careless by thinking, “God already knows everything, so He will fix it Himself.”

    Yes, God knows everything.

But we still need to give voice to our hopes and our struggles — not because He does not know, but because communication maintains our connection with Him.

We should not settle into stress and leave everything unspoken.

If communication is important in every relationship, then why should our relationship with God be silent?

When someone says, “God knows everything; you don’t need to remind Him,” I personally do not agree.

Of course, God does not need reminding.

But speaking to God is part of the relationship.

God has never stopped listening to us, so we should pray specifically, speak openly, and communicate honestly.

    Speak Specifically

    Instead of only saying,

“God, keep me in Your blessings,”

    we can speak more specifically:

“Help me with this situation. This is what I am facing. This is how I feel. This is what I do not understand. Please guide me.”

In that process of speaking and sharing, we often begin to see the right path more clearly.

God cares about every detail of our lives, so we should not take ourselves for granted. We do need to discuss, share, and connect.

We do not need to remain silent with the Creator simply because He already knows.

    A Relationship Without Grey Areas

There may be many grey areas in life, but I feel our relationship with the Supreme Power should not be one of them.

It should feel pure, honest, simple, and peaceful.

    God already knows every detail.

But perhaps prayer was never about telling God something He did not know.

Perhaps it was always about keeping our connection with Him alive. 🙏🏻
